​Iran involves 80,000 militaries to fight coronavirus

Iran said that at least 80 thousand soldiers and officers are taking part in special operations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in the country, Report says, citing RT.

The military disinfects the streets and squares, as well as inspect vehicles at the entrance and exit from cities.

Earlier, Iranian authorities decided to divide the country into several zones, depending on the spread level of coronavirus infection.

The novel coronavirus cases in Iran hit 92.6 thousand, of which almost 5.9 thousand were fatal.

On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced an outbreak of pneumonia in China’s Wuhan, the causative agent of which is a new type of coronavirus officially named COVID-19.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus a pandemic.
