Iran reports 65 coronavirus-related deaths per day

More than 800 people were infected with COVID-19 per day in Iran, which indicates a decline in the spread of the virus. Report informs, Health Ministry spokesman Kianush Jahanpur said.

“Over the past day, we managed to identify 802 new cases of coronavirus infection throughout the country, which shows an obvious decline (in the spread of coronavirus) compared with the past weeks. Based on these data, a total of 96,448 cases of infection were recorded,” he said on the air of IRINN.

On the flip side, according to him, 77,350 people recovered, which is 79-80% of all recorded cases of the disease. It shows that Iran is in the leading places in the percentage of recovering from COVID-19 in the world.

However, Jahanpur said that 65 people have also died in the past 24 hours, and the total number of coronavirus victims since February 19, when authorities reported COVID-19, reached 6,156.
