US death toll exceeds 77 thousand

More than 77 thousand people with positive coronavirus have died in the US, Report says, citing Johns Hopkins University.
On Friday, the Institute reported more than 75,000 deaths from a new type of virus.
The US has so far confirmed 77,180 deaths from COVID-19 in the country. The total coronavirus tally in the country stands for 1 283 929, almost with 199 thousand recoveries.
On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced an outbreak of pneumonia in China’s Wuhan, the causative agent of which is a new type of coronavirus officially named COVID-19.
On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus a pandemic.
