Erdoğan, Putin had telephone conversation

The Presidents of Turkey and Russia Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Vladimir Putin discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fight against coronavirus. Report informs citing the TASS; this was reported in the office of the Turkish leader.

Erdoğan and Putin also discussed bilateral relations and regional issues, including the situation in Syria. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the importance of further cooperation of relevant structures on vaccine development during a telephone conversation.

“The topic of combating the coronavirus pandemic is discussed in detail. The importance of further cooperation between the relevant structures of the two countries was emphasized, including on the treatment of patients and the development of vaccines. V. Putin thanked Turkish partners for their assistance in returning compatriots in Turkey to their homeland, as well as for providing humanitarian assistance to several Russian regions”, – the statement says.
