​Ukraine’s COVID-19 recoveries hit nearly 8,000

Some 321 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded in Ukraine as of Wednesday morning, 14 people died, 420 recovered. In contrast, a day earlier, 339 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on the previous day.

Some 13,252 people are currently infected with COVID-19 in Ukraine, which is 113 less than a day earlier, the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) said on Wednesday morning.

As many as 7,995 people have recovered from the disease in the country.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 212 countries and territories since then.

To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 5,689,000 globally, resulting in more than 2,432,000 recoveries and over 352,000 deaths.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
