6 Azerbaijanis die with COVID-19 in Turkey

“Unfortunately, there are Azerbaijanis among those infected with the coronavirus in Turkey,” Report quotes Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Khazar Ibrahim.

“Although many people have not informed us about the infection, we are investigating the matter through the consulate whenever possible. Azerbaijani citizens are among those infected with the coronavirus. “According to our information, more than 20 Azerbaijani citizens have contracted the coronavirus in Turkey, while six people fell victim to the pandemic.”

Notably, on December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced an outbreak of pneumonia in China’s Wuhan, and the causative agent is a new type of coronavirus officially named COVID-19.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus a pandemic.
