566 tested positive for COVID-19 in a day
As of June 11 in the morning, 14,669 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Armenia. The number of infected in one day has grown by 566, Report informs, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Thursday.
5,466 people have recovered. Currently, 8,876 are getting treatment.
The total death toll reached 245, as 18 more fell victim to the virus.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 7,4 million globally, resulting in more than 3,7 million recoveries and over 419 thousand deaths.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
