Ilham Aliyev congratulates Putin on Russia Day

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulations to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

“On behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own behalf, I heartily congratulate you and all the people of friendly Russia on the occasion of Russia Day,” President Aliyev said in his letter.

“Azerbaijan and Russia are bound together by traditionally close relations of friendship, good neighborhood, and cooperation said the head of state.

I am pleased to note the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. The collaboration of our countries on a broad range of issues is particularly satisfactory.

I am confident that comprehensive and multifaceted cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia will continue developing and strengthening to the benefit of our peoples and countries, and for peace, security and stability in the region.”

“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I wish you the best of health, happiness, successes, also peace and prosperity to all the Russians,” the Azerbaijani president added.
