​Azerbaijani State Committee, ICRC hold meeting

Chairperson of Azerbaijani State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova has had an online meeting with Elena Ajmone Sessera, the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Azerbaijan.

Deputy Chairs of the State Committee Sadagat Gahramanova and Aynur Sofiyeva, ICRC Defense Coordinator Emanuela Bertingi, and several Committee staff also joined the virtual conference, Report says.

The sides discussed the ICRC’s activities related to Azerbaijani citizens in conflict zones, its cooperation with the Azerbaijani government and the Committee, COVID-19 response measures, and other issues.

Head of the ICRC office in Azerbaijan, Elena Ajmone Sessera, expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government and the Committee for the work done to return Azerbaijani children from the conflict zones to the homeland and highlighted the importance of any support provided in this sense.

During the meeting, the officials exchanged views on the continuation of actions regarding children affected by conflicts and the implementation of new projects and measures in this direction.
