SGS company develops training program for Azerbaijan Railways
The Department of Fuel and Lubricants Supply of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has started to apply the occupational health and safety management systems, proposed by the ISO 45001: 2018 standard.
The organization’s objective is to create healthier and safer working conditions for employees of Azerbaijan Railways.
In this regard, 25 personnel have been involved in an online training course, developed by world-famous Societe Generale De Surveillance (SGS) and taught by its expert.
The program will train internal auditors who will oversee the implementation of the ISO 45001: 2018 standard.
The Azerbaijan Railways CJSC aims to get certified to ISO 45001: 2018, the highest international standard in occupational health and safety.
ISO 45001:2018 specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.
The standard applies to any organization that wishes to establish, implement and maintain an OH&S management system to improve occupational health and safety, eliminate hazards and minimize OH&S risks (including system deficiencies), take advantage of OH&S opportunities and address OH&S management system nonconformities associated with its activities.
