US: Child killed during a shooting at Alabama mall

An 8-year-old child was killed when a gunfight broke out Friday afternoon at the Riverchase Galleria shopping mall in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama, Report says local police posted on Twitter.

“Breaking: sadly, an eight-year-old child was killed earlier today at the Galleria. (We) will work tirelessly to bring the responsible individuals to justice. The investigation continues.”

Earlier Hoover Police Lt. Keith Czeskleba said four people were taken to the hospital, but he didn’t have details about their conditions or their injuries.

Police don’t know what led up to the incident or how many shooters are involved, Czeskleba said. Investigators are collecting physical evidence and interviewing witnesses.

 Earlier, there were reports on shooting occurred in two American cities-Braintree (Massachusetts) and Hoover (Alabama). Both cases were in shopping centers. Shooting in Braintree, sending an injured woman to the hospital, ended with two people in custody. According to preliminary data, the reason for the shooting was a conflict that turned into a fight between two groups.
