Florian Sengstschmid: India boosts Azerbaijan tourism sector

An online event was held between about 30 tourism representatives of Azerbaijan and India, Report informs, referring to the State Tourism Agency.

Florian Sengstschmid, Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, said that India is an essential market for Azerbaijani tourism.

According to him, the similarity between the culture, history, and traditions of Azerbaijan and India further strengthens the two countries’ tourism ties.

Sengstschmid spoke about ATB’s participation in SATTE and OTM exhibitions and cooperation with the Indian media. He invited the Indian tourism industry representatives to visit “Travel Business Azerbaijan” in October this year.

President of the Indian Tour Operators Association Pronab Sarkar and Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bavitlung Vanlalvavna attended the event, co-organized by the Indian Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Indian Tour Operators Association (IATO).
