Azerbaijan establishes Agency for Development of Economic Zones

President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree “On measures to improve the management of industrial parks, industrial quarters and agricultural parks.”

Report informs that the decree is aimed at continuing the economic reforms carried out in the Republic of Azerbaijan, further improving the management and control mechanisms in the existing industrial parks, industrial quarters, and agricultural parks in the country, increasing the efficiency of activities in this area, ensuring closer coordination and consistency.

In line with the decree, an Agency for the Development of Economic Zones with the status of a legal entity of public law under the Ministry of Economy has been established on the basis of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC under the Ministry of Economy.
