Aghdam to host international conference

The admission of articles and theses for the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Building New Economy in Karabakh: Development Impulses from Aghdam’ continues, Report informs, citing the Karabakh Revival Fund.

The process will end on September 10.

The special representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, Karabakh Revival Fund, and the Institute of Economy of Azerbaijan’s National Academy of Science will hold the event on September 16-17, 2021. The plenary session of the Conference will take place in Aghdam, and other sessions will be held virtually.

The Conference is expected to include discussions in the following directions:

– Forming new economy in Aghdam: economic potential, priorities, expectations;
– Natural resources and green energy potential of Aghdam and Karabakh, in general;
– Balance between traditional and nontraditional economic sectors in Karabakh;
– Return of displaced persons to Aghdam and other regions of Karabakh.
