Spain introduces ‘smart’ glasses with face recognition feature

Experts from the Spanish Technical University of Cartagena have presented smart glasses equipped with face recognition and temperature measurement systems, Report informs referring to TASS.

Smart glasses, equipped with face recognition and temperature measurement systems, will allow checking if any of the people visiting the institution have a high temperature without waiting in line for its measurement. The device has a built-in HD camera for simultaneous recognition of several faces and a thermal imaging camera that records the temperature of all people in the field of view.

University representatives also announced the development of a special camera that will measure the distance between people. With the help of this device, it will be possible to track whether people are at a safe distance from each other, the need to comply with which is conditioned by the pandemic.
