Central Bank of Azerbaijan increases discount rate

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan management has decided to increase the discount rate from 6.25% to 6.5%.

According to Report, the floor rose from 5.75% to 6%, and the ceiling grew from 6.75% to 7%.

The decision came into force on September 17. Central Bank management’s next decision on the cap and floor parameters will be made public on October 29, 2021, with a press conference expected.
