Georgian premier confirms detention of ex-President Saakashvili

“Mikheil Saakashvili has been detained,” Report’s Georgian bureau informs that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said this at a special briefing.

According to him, the Georgian law-enforcement agencies were informed in advance about the actions of the ex-president and the process was under their full control.

According to the prime minister, Saakashvili has been transferred to a penitentiary institution.
