Turkey’s top diplomat responds to Biden’s accusations

“Let the US back down from wrong policies that they are pursuing and not blame Turkey,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told a joint presser with his Venezuelan counterpart, Report informs.

When asked by a journalist about a letter of US President Jo Biden to the Congress, Cavusoglu said:

“The US administration is not telling the truth when they send a letter to Congress or inform the American people. In addition, this administration should behave honestly both with the people and with the Congress.”

“It is like a copy-paste type letter. There have been such statements before. The US knows very well that there is no difference between the PKK and YPG terrorist organizations. But they support this terrorist group in Syria very well. And according to the US laws, this is a crime. We know that the major goal of the United States in Syria was not the fight against ISIS. The only military force in the world that is fighting against ISIS is our army,” Cavusoglu said.

We should note that the United States sent an appeal to the Congress to extend the stay of its troops in Syria.
