Azerbaijan, Serbia ink deal on military-technical cooperation

A delegation of the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry is visiting Serbia to participate in the Partner-2021 Arms and Military Equipment Exhibition in Belgrade on October 11-14, Report has learnt from the ministry.

The Partner-2021 Arms and Military Equipment Exhibition is organized by the Serbian Ministry of Defense every two years.

The exhibition showcases weapons and military equipment from different countries, artillery and missile systems, modern firearms, ammunition, armored vehicles, aircraft, special protective equipment, various types of simulators, etc.

On the first day of the exhibition, Azerbaijani Defense Industry Minister Madat Guliyev met with Serbian Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic. During the meeting, an important “Agreement on military-technical cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia” was signed.

Later, Madat Guliyev also met with Jugoslav Petkovic, head of the Jugoimport Defense Industry Complex. The current state of the military-technical relations between the two countries and prospects for future cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
