Security measures beefed up in Tbilisi with special forces on venue

Security measures have been tightened over a protest rally in Tbilisi to demand the release of former President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Report’s local bureau informs that police and special services have been mobilized near Freedom Square. Several buses full of police officers are seen on Rustaveli Avenue. A bus entered the courtyard of the parliament building.

“Freedom to Misha!” protest rally is scheduled for 06:00 pm today. Preparations are underway for a mass action in the area. Caravans of vehicles are carrying the former president’s supporters from the regions to Tbilisi.
