Azerbaijan briefs France about urbicide, culturicide, ecocide committed by Armenia

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by Ambassador Gérard Chesnel, President of the French National Commission for the Elimination of Anti-Personnel Mines (CNEMA), Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry.

At the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about nearly 30-year-long occupation of part of Azerbaijani territory and its grave consequences.

Noting that the occupied Azerbaijani territories were liberated by military-political means last year, the minister focused on Armenia’s policy of deliberate mine pollution of the territories and spoke about the threat of landmines in the liberated territories.

After the signing of the tripartite statement on November 10, 2020, a small part of the minefield maps, which Armenia initially denied their existence as a whole, and then presented some to Azerbaijan, turned out to be reliable by only 25%.

To date, 167 of our citizens have been affected by landmines, 33 of them have been killed, including two journalists, the minister said.

He also gave detailed information about the situation in the occupied territories, urbicide, culturicide, ecocide, committed by Armenia. At the same time, the French delegation was informed about the work done by the government of Azerbaijan to restore and rebuild the liberated territories, and the results achieved in this direction.
