Georgia’s top prosecutor credits memo on bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan

“Georgia and Azerbaijan enjoy close friendly and business relations, and cooperation in the justice sphere is very important,” Report’s Georgian bureau informs that Prosecutor-General of Georgia Irakli Shotadze said this after a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Kamran Aliyev.

The Georgian Prosecutor-General’s Office said that Irakli Shotadze noted the fruitful cooperation with Azerbaijan in the legal sphere.

He noted that Azerbaijan is one of the key strategic partners of Georgia.

“Today we discussed issues of combating money laundering, corruption, domestic violence and other serious crimes. The signing of a memorandum on bilateral cooperation is also important. I am confident that cooperation between the Prosecutor-Generals’ Offices of Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of criminal law will intensify even further.”
