Moscow favors earliest possible launch of “3+3” format – FM Spokesperson

“The 3 + 3 format was proposed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the president of Turkey. Russia has supported this initiative,” Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told a weekly briefing, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

“We proceed from the premise that the development of multilateral regional cooperation exactly meets the interests of all prospective participants in this format. The launch of this mechanism contributes to increasing confidence between states, resolving contradictions,” Zakharova said.

In her opinion, a number of Western states, primarily the United States, are trying to interfere with some processes and “put a spoke in wheel”.

At the same time, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Moscow is guided by the earliest possible launch of this mechanism, taking into account the interests of all parties.
