Saakashvili agrees to be hospitalized in Georgia

Former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, who went on a hunger strike in the prison of Rustavi on October 1, agrees to be hospitalized, Report informs citing TASS.

“Mikheil Saakashvili is ready to go to the hospital. It will not happen today or tomorrow; perhaps on Saturday or Sunday, I don’t know for sure. We need to resolve minor issues with the ministries of health and justice. I will find it out tomorrow or the day after tomorrow,” his personal doctor Nikoloz Kipshidze told reporters on Wednesday.

The doctor visited the former leader of the country in prison. “Hospitalization does not mean that the president will end the hunger strike. In no case. He will continue to starve,” Kipshidze assured.
