1st meeting of Turkish-Azerbaijani Joint Media Platform held in Istanbul

The first meeting of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Joint Media Platform was held in Istanbul within the Turkic Council media forum, Report informs.

The meeting led by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, and Head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of Turkey Fahrettin Altun was attended by representatives of the media and communications sectors of the two fraternal countries.

At the meeting, held under the slogan “one nation, two states,” issues of strengthening cooperation and coordination in the field of traditional and digital media, strategic communications, as well as joint fight against disinformation, etc., were discussed.

The sides also discussed the structure of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Joint Media Platform and decided to establish committees on Public Diplomacy, International Media, Strategic Communications, Education, Legislation and Regulation, Digitalization, and Internationalization.
