“At the invitation of my brother, President Ilham Aliyev, we successfully completed our one-day visit to Azerbaijan. I visited brotherly Azerbaijan for the tenth time in June. After Shusha, we met in the liberated Fuzuli and Zangilan districts this time,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists, Report informs, citing Haber Global.
“During the visit, we saw the reconstruction and restoration work in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. We analyzed the activities to revitalize the economic potential, build transport lines and build new ones in those areas. We are at least as happy as our Azerbaijani brothers. We are proud to be a part of the projects.
During the visit, together with my brother President Ilham Aliyev we inaugurated Fuzuli International Airport. The airport was built in a record time of 8 months. Thus, we have opened the leading air transport route. The airport will create additional transportation opportunities not only for Azerbaijan but for the Caucasus as a whole. We support the steps taken by Azerbaijan towards development in the region. I congratulate everyone who contributed to the operation of this important transport center, which was completed in a very short time,” Erdogan said.
