Health Ministry addresses parents of children from risk group

Children above 12 years who are in the risk group and suffer from chronic diseases – obesity, immune deficiency, cardiac and chronic lung diseases, etc.- are recommended to be vaccinated against coronavirus, consultant at the organization department of the Health Ministry Aynura Zeynalova said.

Report quotes her as saying vaccination is possible only upon both parents’ consent.

“It is recommended to vaccinate them with Pfizer because the studies of other vaccines used in the country have not yet been completed. Contraindications or other side effects among vaccinated children are the same as with adults. Immunization is the key factor in overcoming the pandemic,” she said.
