Azerbaijani agency gets 945 applications from private sector to set up businesses in Karabakh


The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan has received 945 applications from businesses to set up businesses in the liberated territories, Report informs, citing Orkhan Mammadov of SMBDA telling a news conference.

Some 446 of the appeals relate to investment projects, 499 – to other areas of activities and services, he said: “27% of the appeals were received in connection with construction work, 27% – trade and services, 21% – industry, 18% – agriculture, 7% – tourism, healthcare, education.”

Orkhan Mammadov stressed that there are ample opportunities for the development of tourism, agriculture, and other areas in the territories liberated from occupation.
