Azerbaijan’s economy is not free, only “moderately free”

There has been a decline in economic freedom in the world, with the largest decline in the average score of countries so far. The Heritage Foundation this week released the 2022 Economic Freedom Index on the state of economic freedom in the world.

This index ranks 177 countries in 12 categories of economic freedom.10Evaluates on a 0-point scale. The average score of each country by category is calculated.

These categories include property rights, effective justice, government integrity, tax burden, government spending, freedom of business, fiscal health, monetary freedom, labor freedom, freedom of trade, freedom of investment and financial freedom.
