Another senior Defense Ministry official, Malikmammad Gurbanov, has been arrested.
A source in the Military Prosecutor’s Office told Qafqazinfo according to, Ministry of DefenceProcurement of and The head of the Procurement Department, Colonel Gurbanov Malikmammad Oruj oglu, was detained. He was prosecuted by the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor’s Office.
Colonel M. Gurbanov is accused of causing 3.5 million manat in material damage to the state.
At present, the investigation has made a recommendation to arrest him as a measure of restraint. The court will make a decision in the coming hours.
Procurement of the Ministry of Defense and The detention of the former head of the Procurement Department, Colonel Gurbanov, has been officially confirmed.
The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed the fact.
Noted that, Gurbanov Malikmammad Oruj oglu was charged under Article 179.4 of the Criminal Code by the Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor’s Office.
