5 regions of Russia were left headless – Unexpected resignations

May 10The heads of five regions of Russia resigned one after another and they have stated they will not run for another term.

TASS reports that, they are from Tomsk, Kirov, Saratov and Ryazan regions and They are the governors of the Republic of Mari El. Russia President Vladimir Putin appointed interim leaders in five regions.

The head of Rosstat, Pavel Malkov, has been appointed governor of the Ryazan region. Earlier, the head of the region was Nikolai Lyubimov.

Roman Busargin has been appointed acting governor of Saratov region. He replaced Valery Radaev.

Kremlin spokesman Alexander Sokolov has been appointed governor of the Kirov region. Prior to that, Igor Vasilyev was the head of the region.

Vladimir Mazur, a former deputy head of the Kremlin’s domestic policy department, has been appointed governor of the Tomsk region. He will replace Sergei Zhvachkin.

Mari El’s head powers Yuri Zaytsev execution will do. Earlier, the region was headed by Alexander Yevstifeyev.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
