The separatists condemn the British and Ukrainian Tuvans

According to the “laws” of the so-called separatist DPRK, two Britons – Sean Pinner and Aiden Aslin and Moroccan Saadoun Brahim – should be shot dead.

In Ukraine, the so-called “Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic” has sentenced to death three foreigners who fought in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

They are accused of being mercenaries and armed usurpation of power.

According to the “laws” of the so-called separatist DPRK, two Britons – Sean Pinner and Eyden Aslin and Moroccan Saadun Brahim they should be shot and executed.

They were given a month to appeal the verdict. The trial in Donetsk lasted only two days.

Pinner and Aslin were captured in Mariupol, and Brahim in Volnovakha. All three moved to Ukraine long before the Russian invasion and served as contract Marines in the Ukrainian Armed Forces for several years.

Geneva Convention

In April, Russia Channel 1 aired a video showing prisoners Pinner and Asli pleading guilty. In the video, they appealed to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to help replace themselves and other Ukrainian servicemen with pro-Kremlin politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who was arrested in Kiev.

Relatives believe they were pressured into speaking in front of the camera. They also say that prisoners of war serve in the Ukrainian army on a contract basis and therefore cannot be considered mercenaries.

Member of the British Parliament from the Conservative Party Robert Cenrik He called the sentencing of foreign servicemen “an outrageous violation of international law.”

He said he was waiting for the captives to be exchanged, but that the Russian government had staged a “shameful trial.”

Reuters reports that the British Prime Minister Boris ConsonA spokesman said London was trying to free the captives.

“According to the Geneva Convention, prisoners of war have the immunity of a combatant and cannot be tried for participation in hostilities. Therefore, together with the Ukrainian government, we will work for the release of any Briton serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and held captive. ”

“One in five men will be shot”

On June 9, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova accused nine servicemen from Russia’s Tuva region of killing civilians in the village of Yagodnoye in Chernigov region.

The Prosecutor General wrote the names of the accused on his Facebook page.

It is noted that all Russians on this list are servicemen of the Russian military unit 55115.

The prosecutor writes that they are accused of torturing civilians and killing them:

“They evicted residents of the village of Yagodnoye, forced them to undress in frosty weather, searched for patriotic tattoos on their bodies, as well as military underwear. They confiscated the mobile phones of the villagers and threatened that if one of the hidden phones was found, one in five captive men would be shot.
