Currently of Ukraine even in itself, difficulties have arisen in the production of tobacco products. The one there factory and factories cannot work normally.”

“There are difficulties in the market”

Aykhan Shikhli, the manager of corporate relations and communication of one of the world’s most famous companies in Azerbaijan, believes that the price increase is related to difficulties in the market and is more artificial:

“Currently, “Sobranie”, “Winston” and other brands belonging to JTI company are produced under license by “Tabaterra” JSC. The raw materials required for the production of our products were supplied from our factories in Ukraine. Due to the war, since March, supplies have been carried out from other countries located in the region, mainly from Turkey. There are difficulties in the field of logistics, and therefore the process of changing the country of supply of raw materials of our brands takes more time. Together with our partner, we mobilized all our strength to fully restore the supply chain and production process. This means that in the near future, the difficulty in providing JTI brands across the country will be completely eliminated.”
