The number of constituencies in Azerbaijan remains unchanged – 125.
The issue of determining district borders was also discussed at the meeting.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said that there may be problems related to the conflict of certain interests and the creation of new polling stations:
“The population cannot be forced to vote in a newly created polling station. Therefore, if there is a possibility of problems in any places, it is necessary to start from there to determine the boundaries of the circle. It is necessary to do so that the boundaries of the circles are not touched.”
Later, the new composition of the Commission for determining the boundaries of electoral districts was determined.
