At the next meeting of the Tariff (price) Council held on July 26 gasoline and on the determination of supply tariffs for diesel Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) has been reviewed and the tariff change will not affect the retail prices of gasoline and diesel, and the current retail price of those products will not change.

Please inform us that according to the decision of the Council in force until now, the wholesale tariff of oil products (including the supply tariff) was applied including all the costs related to the transportation to the retail point of sale. Since the supply tariff includes storage and transportation costs for wholesale outlets, as well as delivery costs to retail outlets, it has led to disputes among subjects depending on the type of service performance and violation of financial discipline.
Regarding the issue, relevant analysis work was carried out in the past period in order to eliminate such situations gasoline and it was considered appropriate to change the tariff chain and determine the supply tariffs for wholesale and retail separately, while keeping the retail tariff for diesel at the current level of 1.0 manat/liter and 0.80 manat/liter.
