Russia expels 14 diplomats of Bulgaria

A number of European countries since Moscow started aggression against Ukraine at the end of February Russia kicks out diplomats

Russia Bulgaria expels 14 consular and embassy employees. This is Sofia’s step Russia it is said to have been fired in response to the “unfounded” decision to expel diplomatic personnel. All this is happening against the background of Moscow’s unjustified aggression against Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia said in a statement on August 5 that Bulgaria ambassador Atanas Christineand was presented with a note declaring 14 workers in Russia persona non grata.

Since Moscow began aggression against Ukraine at the end of February, a number of European countries have expelled Russian diplomats.

Bulgaria said at the end of June that it was expelling 70 Russian diplomats and closing the Russian Consulate General in the northern city of Ruse.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin Since ordering the attack on Ukraine on February 24, a number of Western countries have imposed large-scale sanctions on Moscow. A number of Russian banks were removed from the SWIFT system, an embargo was imposed on Russian exports, restrictions on investments, travel bans on government officials and family members were announced.
