The head of the European Council calls on Russia to withdraw from the UN Security Council
Europe Council President Charles Michel believes that Russia United Nations (UN) should be removed from the Security Council.

Outside the session, Michel told politico.eu Russia commented on the situation regarding Russians fleeing the mobilization announced by President Vladimir Putin on September 21. He said that European Union (EU) “should be open to those who do not want the Kremlin to be used as a tool.”
The subject is planned to be discussed at the meeting of EU ambassadors on Monday, September 26.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky repeatedly called for the expulsion of Russia from the UN Security Council and other structures of the organization.
Russia Great Britain, USAChina and France is a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Each of these five countries has the right to veto Security Council resolutions.
