“Armenia violates the requirements of international conventions and refuses to provide information on the fate of missing Azerbaijanis.”

“Report” informs that the former Deputy Prime Minister of Romania, Ana Birchall, said this during her speech at the international conference on “Increasing national and international efforts to clarify the fate of missing persons” held in Baku.

A. Birchall emphasized that nearly 4,000 Azerbaijani citizens are still considered missing, which indicates the seriousness of the problem: “Many families still cannot get any information about their loved ones. I hope that we will be able to mark progress in this matter at the next conference.”

The politician stressed that he always believes that there is great potential for the development of relations between Romania and Azerbaijan.

The former deputy prime minister also recalled his visit to Shusha two months ago: “Every time I visit, I witness more progress in the reconstruction of the Karabakh region.”
