“Bulgaria is interested in the wider development of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan in the field of transport communications, which will contribute to the development of trade between Europe and Asia.”
Ivan Nachyev, political scientist and executive director of the Bulgarian School of Politics, said this in his statement to “Report”.
According to the political scientist, the restoration of direct flights between Baku and Sofia will help to expand relations between entrepreneurs and citizens of the two countries.
I. Nachyev stressed that the bilateral relations between our countries are developing rapidly and the recent visit of the Speaker of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova to Bulgaria will be another contribution to the deepening of cooperation: “There are excellent relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, which have risen to the level of strategic partnership, and an intensive political dialogue is underway.”
According to the expert, the strategic dialogue established between Baku and Sofia in 2015 is a prerequisite for the expansion of partnership areas: “Azerbaijan has become a desirable, reliable and priority partner for Bulgaria. “Now is the time to establish a dialogue between the various parliamentary committees of the two legislative bodies.”
