Vice Admiral Subhan Bakirov, the commander of the Azerbaijani Navy (NAF), is on a visit to this country at the invitation of the US Navy Command.

“Report” was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense.

Vice-Admiral S. Bakirov will participate in the 25th International Naval Power Symposium, which will be held in Newport, USA, with the participation of various important naval organizations, along with commanders of naval forces of 90 countries.

The main purpose of the event is to hold discussions on the issues of ensuring navigation safety between the Navy and civilian maritime organizations in sea transport, as well as organizing a joint fight against potential threats.
