Adalat Valiyev: Rapid elimination of damage in Tovuz at the center of President’s attention

“The issue of rapid elimination of damage to civilians, state property, and infrastructure facilities as a result of intensive shelling of the Tovuz region by Armenians is at the center of the President’s attention.”

 Adalat Valiyev, head of the Presidential Administration’s Department for Relations with Political Parties and Legislative Authority, said, Report quotes. 

According to him, a proper order was signed on July 20 to take measures in this regard. 

Notably, on July 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev issued an order on measures to eliminate damage to civilians and state property, including infrastructure facilities as a result of intensive shelling of Tovuz region by the Armenian Armed Forces.

Starting from the afternoon on July 12, units of the Armenian armed forces, grossly violated the ceasefire on the direction of the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border.

 As a result of the adequate steps undertaken by our units, the enemy was defeated and driven back suffering losses.

 During the fighting, several service members of the Azerbaijan Army, including General-Major, were killed, and five were injured.
