Sports facilities destroyed during Armenian occupation

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has prepared a list of sports buildings in the liberated areas before the occupation, Report informs.

According to the ministry’s spokeswoman Samaya Mammadova, Armenians destroyed a total of 37 sports facilities in Zangilan, Agdam, Gubadli, Kalbajar, Shusha, and Lachin and 146 sports grounds in some villages.

These facilities are:

Zangilan: City stadium named after Samad Vurgun, Children-Youth Sports School, Chess School, Shooting Round, football, volleyball, basketball field, Minjivan settlement chess school, rural football fields – 13 units.

Aghdam: “Imarat” stadium, “Sports Campus” Sports and Health Park, Bullet Shooting Tire, Chess House, Swimming Center, rural football fields – 26 units, rural volleyball courts – 26.

Gubadli: City stadium, Children and Youth Sports School, Chess School, volleyball court in the city – 3, rural football fields – 19.

Kalbajar: City stadium, Children and Youth Sports School, Chess School, Shooting Round, rural football fields – 14.

Shusha: City Stadium, Children and Youth Sports School, “Karabakh” Pioneer Sports Camp, Chess School, Chess Club, Shooting Round, football-volleyball court

Lachin: City stadium, volleyball courts – 3, Gym, Chess School, rural football fields – 28, rural volleyball courts – 15.

Mammadova said that these facilities were victims of Armenian atrocities: “Of course, we will be better when we return to these lands. Reconstruction work will be carried out in stages under the State Investment Program. Sports facilities and objects will be rebuilt and restored following modern requirements.”
