COVID-19: Confirmed cases exceed 36 thousand in Indonesia

The tally of a new type of the novel coronavirus has exceeded 36 thousand in Indonesia, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

Since the beginning of the outbreak in the country, doctors have identified 36,406 cases of infection, as positive cases increased by 1,111 per day. Yesterday, the number of confirmed cases was 979. So far, 2,048 have contracted COVID-19 in Indonesia, while 3,213 people recovered, making 36.3% of the total number of infected.

On March 2, Indonesia reported its first confirmed cases of coronavirus, after health officials in the world’s fourth-most populous country hit back at questions over its apparent lack of infected patients.
