Thousands evacuated in US amid wildfires

Over 2,000 people were evacuated from three massive fires in Arizona on Thursday as dry conditions and gusty winds whipped blazes across the US Southwest, Report says, citing the RIA Novosti.

The fire started last week in the Tonto National reserve. As a result of strong winds and low humidity, it got out of control and spread over an area of more than 42 thousand hectares.

According to the US National weather service, this fire is the seventh-largest in the history of Arizona.
