Azerbaijan confirms 572 new COVID-19 cases, eight deaths

Azerbaijan reported 572 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number to 18,684 as of July 2, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report. 

As many as 364 people recovered from the infection, while eight coronavirus patients passed away. 

So far, a total of 10,425 patients have survived the disease, while 228 others died. The treatment of 8,031 people is underway.  

Today, a total of 6,976 coronavirus tests have been conducted across the country.

The government has imposed strict quarantine regime in Baku, Sumgayit, Absheron, Ganja, Yevlakh, Jalilabad, Lankaran and Masalli cities and Absheron region from June 21 to July 5. People are allowed to leave their places of residence only upon permission by sending a text message.
