Azerbaijani footballer may join English Coventry

Coventry City has been linked with a loan move for young Wolves striker Renat Dadashov.

The 21-year-old Azerbaijan international is yet to make an appearance for his parent club since moving to Molineux in 2019 but is said to be on Mark Robins’s radar ahead of next season.

Born in Rudesheim, Dadashov picked up international youth caps for Germany before pledging his allegiance to Azerbaijan with whom he has made six senior appearances.

In January, the striker came close to completing a move to Birmingham City on deadline day after their lengthy pursuit of former Coventry loan star Bright Enobakhare came crashing down.

Dadashov was hurried to St. Andrews to replace him but rejected the move just before the transfer deadline closed.

He then spent the rest of the campaign in action for Wolves Under-23s after a brief loan spell in Portugal with top division side Pacos de Ferreira, making seven appearances.
