New Foreign Minister appointed in Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to appoint Jeyhun Aziz Bayramov as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Report says. 

He received his degree in economics from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and a degree in law from Azerbaijan University.

He worked at various positions at the Ministry of Taxes in 1996-2000, as a lawyer in “Salans Hertzfeld & Heilbronn (Baku) Limited” company in 2000-2002, and was the Director of “OMNİ” law firm in 2002-2013.

He was annually on the list of the leading lawyers in taxation and civil rights in Azerbaijan in 2004-2012 by global law publications such as “Chambers Global,” “IFLR1000,” and “Legal500”.

He was appointed as the Minister of Education in 2018.
