Russia’s COVID-19 recovery rate brings hope
Russia confirmed 5,848 new COVID-19 cases in a day, bringing the country’s official number to 795 038, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.
According to the Operational Headquarters of the country,the country’s death toll reached 12 892, as 147 other have died over the past day.
Moreover, 580,330 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the country so far.
Most of the new infections were recorded in the capital, Moscow – 608 people.
Moscow lifted restrictions including compulsory travel passes on June 8, a move welcomed by residents who rushed out to enjoy the streets and parks. Many other regions lifted lockdown restrictions ahead of a July 1 national vote despite the pandemic.
However, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, has extended Russia’s ban on international flights until Aug. 1 due to the coronavirus.
