New Zealand extends restrictions over COVID-19

Restrictions on the coronavirus in New Zealand will remain in place until at least mid-September, said Prime Minister Casinda Ardern.

According to Report, Ardern emphasized that New Zealanders should continue to follow the rules of social distance.

“If we do everything right, we can get rid of restrictions faster and reduce the risk of instability,” she noted.

TASS informs, the existing measures will be reconsidered on September 14.

The strictest restrictions are in Auckland, the country’s largest city and the epicenter of the epidemic. It is forbidden to gather there in groups of more than ten. In the rest of New Zealand, up to 100 people are allowed to hold the event.
