Nagorno-Karabakh peace deal among key results of 2020, Russian FM says

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has named the main foreign policy results of 2020.

Report informs that, according to the Ministry, Russia’s efforts to resolve regional conflicts and crises are among the main outcomes of the Foreign Ministry’s activities.

“Thanks to the mediation of Russia, armed clashes have ended, and peace has been restored in Nagorno-Karabakh. The population received emergency humanitarian assistance; conditions were created to return refugees and displaced persons. Moreover, a peacekeeping operation was launched, creating a joint Russian-Turkish center for monitoring the cessation of hostilities was agreed,” the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
